Ireland won the four hundred and twenty-second Quidditch World Cup. They flattened Peru in their semi final encounter. In the final, they defeated Bulgaria, with the team of Connolly, Ryan, Troy, Mullet, Moran, Quigley and Lynch, all using Firebolt brooms. There Chasers played magnificently, and earned the team 170 points, which was enough to seal a 170-160 victory.
